About the Department
In Modern Studies pupil learn about people in society now and in the past. Modern Studies aims to develop skills and understanding in pupils to help them interpret and participate in the social and political issues they will meet in their adult lives. One of the main purposes of this subject is to encourage young people to become informed, active, responsible and confident citizens.
A variety of learning strategies are used within the department including:
