Duke of Edinburgh Camping Expedition

On 8th May pupils from 4th to 6th year completed their practice expedition for the Duke of Edinburgh Award.  The girls and boys spent two days in Queen Elizabeth Forest in the Aberfoyle area.  The Expedition involved trekking 7km through the forest carrying all their own kit.  They were required to navigate their chosen route using maps, pitch tents and cook their own food!

Trekking with their gear.  Hard Work! The pupils cooked and prepeared all their own food.

All the pupils coped very well with the task, and despite the weather being cold they all enjoyed the experience and took a lot from it.

Roll on the qualifying expedition on the 9th of June!
