Christmas Fayre

On Wednesday the 4th of December Abercorn School held its annual Christmas Fayre.  There were various stalls and activities on offer including home baking, Christmas photos, tombola and a cafe.  This was a great chance for pupils to try out some of the hospitatlity skills they had been learning in their Personal Development class.  Some pupils sold items at the stalls where they were responsible for cash handling, while others helped out preparing food in the kitchen and then serving to parents and other guests.

Yummy: Elise and Callum ready to serve our customers at the home baking stall.

Our pupils were helpful, professional and a credit to themselves and the school.  The event was a great success with over £700 being raised for school funds.  This will go a long way in helping our pupils finacially with the various trips and excursions organised throughout the school year.  Thanks you to all who attended and especially to those parents who provided home baking for sale at the event.  Your support is very much appreciated.

Hello!: Katie the Carrot and assorted raffle prizes at the front door.

Home Baking: Some of the treats available.
