Abercorn Boys Represent Scotland
This year four pupils from Abercorn School were picked to represent Scotland in the National Football Championships. Kyle Hannin, Kyle Gault, Rocky Singh and Blair McGregor travelled to Wales with Mr Baird, where a tightly fought championship saw the boys achieve a well-deserved 2nd place.

The first game against the hosts saw a narrow 3-2 victory, facilitated by a last minute goal from Abercorn striker Kyle Hannin. This was followed by a confident 5-1 victory over the Republic of Ireland. This saw the boys enter confidently into their final match against Northern Ireland.

Sadly, a hat-trick of victories wasn't to be with the boys in green narrowly defeating our boys in blue with a 1-0 victory.
The players showed great commitment and effort from all sides and a big thanks goes to our resident sports guru Mr Baird for his dedication to the team over the past year.
