Duke Of Edinburgh Awards
On Tuesday 15th November Abercorn pupils and staff attented the Duke of Edinburgh awards ceremony at Glasgow City Chambers. There were six Abercorn pupils receving awards for their commitment and hard work over the past year.

The Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE) is a world leading youth award scheme that has seen millions of young people take part in activities such as volunteering, sports and outdoor survival skills. It leads many paricipants to build life long friendships and engage with activities that build confidence and and a sense of civic duty. It can be run in schools or other youth establishments and the qualification is valued by colleges and universities.
